Role:
Performs engineering / technical assignments to a process or processes during development stages of a particular product line throughout launch according to control plans and advanced quality planning matrix. Performs problem solving techniques, process improvements, and maintains standards throughout project life by providing technical assistance

Responsibilities:
Manage priorities and quickly address manufacturing and support requests
Provide effective communication of activities with customer, vendor, and internal request
Complete Tool design and fabrication as assigned
Facilitate equipment layout and planning as required
Document and publish Machine Control Conditions along with start-up and shut-down procedures
Must work in a safe manner in compliance with company policies and maintain awareness of danger to themselves and others
Support the implementation, achievement, and maintenance of Management Systems.
Plan, schedule, and lead project assignments in the evaluation, selection, and adaptation of various engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria with minimal guidance
Lead project teams and various process improvement teams
Improve product / process flow
Develop and generate automation opportunities
Establish work methods and assembly techniques (including ergonomics concepts)
Troubleshoot and adjust equipment and tooling to meet quality standards
Lead and / or participate in continual improvement activities
Implement mistake proofing
Employ problem solving techniques
Promote effective labor utilization
Optimize material handling
Provide training to the production staff for new model launches
Provide technical assistance to maintenance and die shop staff on repair and improvement of tooling and equipment

Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Industrial Technology from an accredited institution preferred
Other Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is acceptable or equivalent work experience

Skills:
Proficient computer skills which include all Microsoft software packages such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook, along with Autodesk's AutoCAD software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to effectively communicate with shop floor personnel, technical support positions, and plant management
Ability to speak and lead in meetings and communicate with customers as a liaison
Must be able to work any shift to provide technical assistance to insure uninterrupted production and maintain customer requirements

Experience:
ME - Assembly 0 - 10 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment and working knowledge of assembly techniques)
ME - Injection / KPM 2 - 5 years of experience in injection molding processing)Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
