Assistant Cheer, Dance, & Acrobatics and Tumbling Coach

Assistant Cheer, Dance, & Acrobatics and Tumbling CoachAssistant Cheer, Dance, and A&T Coach is a full-time, 12 month position reporting to the Head coach and VP Athletic Director.
The Assistant coach assists with all phases of coaching an intercollegiate team, including recruiting, game management, promotions, and supporting our student athletes on and off the floor.
A strong work ethic and passion for college athletics is required.
Responsibilities:
Recruit student-athletes according to Talladega College and NAIA/NCAA Assists in preparing events and practices.
Must utilize ethics in coaching techniques and in injury prevention.
Assists with recruiting and fundraising for the teams Game Day setup and breakdown Cooperates with other staff to ensure that the student-athlete is provided with services to succeed academically and personally.
Maintains good relationships with alumnus, officials, parents, volunteers, and fans.
Oversee the strength and conditioning programs of our student athletes in and out of season within the head coaches' guidelines.
Performs other duties as requested by the Head Coach.
Weekend work, irregular hours, travel, and physical demands are required for this position.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Valid driver's license is preferred.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Must possess a thorough knowledge of the rules, regulations, technique progressions of the sport.
Proven coaching or playing experience in the assigned sport, Cheerleading or Gymnastics.
Ability to recruit and retain student-athletes.
