Food Service Back of House Manager and Cook (Full-time/On-Campus Driver)

The general responsibility of the FS Front of Back Manager will be to assist the Back of House Director to meet the food service kitchen needs for all guests which includes all food preparation and cooking.
Summary of Essential Job FunctionsProvide excellent service to Shocco guests by continually evaluating all aspects of the food service operationsAssist with Managing Back of House Food Service personnel in all areasMaintain the sanitation and cleanliness of all dining and serving areas utilized for food service.
These must, at all times, meet the Alabama Department of Public Health CodesOversee day to day back of house food service operation including, but not limited to the following:
Maintain conference records to include menus, recipes, and serving sizes; organization and security of dining kitchen, storage areas and refrigerators; systematically review ways to better serve guests needsAccept miscellaneous assignments as agreed upon with supervisor RequirementsSpiritualIn all aspects of personal, professional and spiritual life, exemplify Christ-like standardsBy word and action, express a personal acceptance and faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and actively involved with a body of believersBe actively involved in an Alabama or Southern Baptist church and continued involvement expectedJob RelatedA minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
College or trade school preferredExperience in volume or institutional food serviceExperience in basic managerial skillsExperience in operation of computer equipment and programs, preferably Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, or related programs, and the desire and ability to learn additional programsAbility to organize, manage multiple tasks and details and perform assigned duties in a pleasant and competent mannerAbility to communicate (auditory, verbal and written) adeptly with guests, program personnel and employeesObtain Serv-Safe or approved equivelant certification within 6 months of employment.
Complete requirements for instructor certification within 1 yearPhysicalAbility to work a minimum of 40 hours weekly at a desk and computer terminal locationAbility or strength to lift, carry, and load items onto a platform up to 3' high and weighing up to 25 poundsAbility to drive a company vehicleAbility to abstain from use of tobacco products, alcoholic beverages and controlled substancesBenefits provided:
