The PLC Technician is a critical role within the Electrical Maintenance Team that provides support in executing mill-wide preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of the latest electrical and electronic equipment.
The PLC Technician has a keen eye to identify potential problems in an electrical design and will work as part of a dynamic team of electricians collectively focused on continuous improvement and operational uptime.

A Day in The Life Typically Includes:
Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and circuits Maintain, troubleshoot, and program PLC terminals Maintain and troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems, control devices, circuits and components, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic equipment Read and interpret electrical schematics Perform daily preventative maintenance routes Maintain clean and orderly housekeeping standards in work areas Work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, and actively participate in the safety program What You Will Need:

Qualifications:
Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics Experience with single and 3-phase electrical repair and troubleshooting up to 480 Volts Willing and able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed as well as performing tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to 12 hours a day High school diploma or GED Must be able and willing to work safely, and adhere to all safety rules and regulations, including wearing and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:
Two (2) year degree or higher in Electrical Technology At least three (3) years industrial electrical repair experience and/or industrial maintenance experience Experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's) Experience with Ladder Logic, VFD's and motor control devices Experience with PanelView, FactoryTalk, and RS View Experience working in a wood products manufacturing environment Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other PC-based production reporting systems applications Our goal is for each employee, and their families, to live fulfilling and healthy lives.
